Its resort boasts over 400 rooms, and its stages regularly host performances from major international musicians, comedians and entertainers. The site is operated by MGM Resorts International, the major gaming group responsible for its namesake casinos in Las Vegas and the Borgata in Atlantic City. Since then, it has been beloved for its luxurious amenities and world-class gaming. In 2007, the casino opened its doors at its permanent location on Third Street. The MGM Grand was the first major casino resort to open outside of Las Vegas, having first opened at a temporary location in 1999.
